With the weather warming up and the fishing reports start to trickle in from out southern fellow fishermen, I know I speak for many of us and say I AM RIGGED AND READY! This year we are going specialized. We downsized the boat and made it absolutely fine tuned for fly fishing and plugging. This year we are running the 2022 custom NorthCoast 19 center console with all new Simrad equipment. The vessel is perfectly named – “On Point” . With a shallower draft and an open platform, we can find new spots to get away from the crowds that have been haunting our waters since the pandemic started and everyone decided to buy a boat or a kayak! The latest electronics will help us not only stay safe with the radar, but also help us locate that structure that holds the best opportunity to catch fish! As I said, everything about this rig is just perfect or should I say…On Point!
We have also added Temple Fork rods to our arsenal to maintain high quality gear that just performs superbly in our Rhode Island waters. We continue to use our other great fly rods from Sage and Orvis, as well as reels from Abel, Hatch, Ross and Sage. Trust me, you will not be upset with any of your selections on this year’s trips!
2022 will continue to be an all Catch and Release season. Your support over the past 5 years has been tremendous and I know we are making a difference, changing not only the rules of the game but also influencing other charter captains to do the same – Thank you!
Finally, we are also thrilled to continue to work with Yeti and Costa on our Kick Plastic program. we have used less than a case of bottled water over the past 2 seasons! I will purchase more 18 oz ramblers that will be available at a discounted rate for my guests should you desire a new mug this year! Just let me know when we book the trip.
So, who’s in for 2022? Let’s make this a memorable one!
Capt. Brian
