Well, despite the weather, the stripers have made their way to the upper bay! While the larger bass have decided to hang south for a bit longer (can’t say I blame them), there has been a tremendous topwater and fly bite going on right now! The bunker have been thin so the bass are feeding on some smaller stuff that makes it that much easier to trick them into biting flies and some topwater spooks. Water temperature this weekend was 53 degrees. I am expecting this upcoming week to produce some larger fish as we also witness the baits getting bigger. Time to get those alarms set for early morning – its go time!
